GROWING UP

We often mistake growing old for growing up. But do you know you can actually grow old without growing up? People would ask how is that possible? But yes, it's very possible. Every second of our life,we grow old but not every body grow up. We've actually seen people at age 20 behaving like babies. Every year we celebrate our birthdays and scream 'I'm grown now',Yes but we are actually growing older. Not everybody is growing up but everyone is growing old. Even Apostle Paul said,' when I was a child, I behave like a child and think like a child, but now that I'm a man, I put away childish things'

It's very common among us these days that most of us still wait for elderly ones to give out instructions before we do them. There are many things we as growing youths should know how to do without waiting for instructions from elderly ones. Lol, yes 80% this 21st century youths are guilty of this. If we're not told to do something, we can't even bother doing it even to stand up from the bed.

In growing up, we have our own choices to make we don't need to depend on anybody for those choices any longer. We make them since we feel they'd be good to us but it's important to make the right choice. We start taking responsibilities of little things, thinking by ourselves and being a little independent. We don't need babysitting any longer, we have to rise up to achieve what we want because we can't sit and our dreams would walk to us, it's not possible!

We also have weaknesses. In growing up, we have to either accept them or work on them. Our weaknesses could just destabilize us most times that we don't have a choice than to put them away.

It is also necessary to know that while growing up, we have to balance our lives, morally, academically, spiritually, financially and socially and even with our relationships. One aspect can not be slacking and the other is growing. We can't be 20 and be behaving like 8, if we are 20 let's behave 20 or even 25.

If we all grow up, the world would be a better place.
Shalom!

STRANGE LAND

The cries from my mother's womb Where was this light from? And joys from people's heart And how they show jubilation Where was I again? In this strange and lonely place. As time goes on I felt I'd discover Discover the truth On how I got here And how I'd go back To the world I've always known. Soon I discovered Everything I wanted to do Was for me to decide How well I'd live in this strange land And what people would say After I've departed. I grew fond of the strange land And suddenly didn't want to go back I forgot what my creator sent me to do And was carried away by the goods of the land The music and pleasures The Wealth and Riches Not remembering my creator any longer I joined the vices of the land It was just then I was to go back to where I was coming from With my grey hair and wrinkled face And my weak legs and arms I've had children who had my ways And there on death bed, Tried to remind them That we are, ...

ON LOVE ISSUES

Have you ever been in love that you don't even know how to control it any longer? It's so obvious. You can't do without him/ her. You always want to be near the person and so on. But why do most people fall in love? Maybe all the care and attention they need is with that individual or maybe they just naturally love that person's personality or they just like the way the person talks, relates or even interacts. Falling in love,to me, is one of the most critical things. Like when you just have to think of one person all day, all you do must centre around the individual and you just have to do things to please that person. The worst is when you love and it's not reciprocated. It's like, huh, a waste of time. Yes, you're always the one starting up conversations, you're always caring, asking the needful like 'How are you?, How did the day go?' And you get straight answers like 'Fine, okay and so on'. You easily tend to fall out of such love....
